Essential Responsibilities: This position will be based in Mozambique and is open to currently enrolled students with interest in
Engineering

- The intern will be responsible to ensure the smooth execution of contractual maintenance and site
activities.

- Provide support for the Site team

- Interface with GE internal departments, to deliver contractual obligations and to facilitate outage
activities coordination,

- Respond to Owner's technical inquiries coordinating technical resources, to assure problems
identification and resolution

- Assist customer operation and maintenance staff in monitoring performances of covered units
and recommend actions to improve safety, availability and reliability

- Identify elements requiring improvement and structure projects and actions to address the needs
Qualifications/Requirements: University enrolled students who are currently pursuing their degrees in Engineering

- Project Management and Maintenance knowledge

- Strong analytic skills and attention to details

- Solid desk-based research skills and filtering of information to just the key points relevant to the
internal audience

- Authorized to work in your country full-time and without restriction

- Must have an advanced to fluent level of English

Role Summary/Purpose: In this role you will be providing guidance to GE Transportation's customer on maintenance and
troubleshooting of locomotives. Job is based in Beira, Mozambique.
Essential Responsibilities: The Lead Technical Specialistt develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet
goals. Is responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and
experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some
long-term business goals.
Provide technical expertise to railroad employees and management as well as GE employees, including troubleshooting, material handling, tooling, safety procedures, and contract requirement
Provide training / mentorship on locomotive maintenance and troubleshooting to
customer and GE employees.
Coordinate and provide instruction on key locomotive maintenance/repair/field modification
programs and procedures.
Provide clear communication to customer employees, customer management and GE
management on work to be performed, equipment status, productivity, and process improvements
and liaison with other departments as necessary.
Work with customer employees and management to promote, maintain, and drive continuous
improvement in safe work practices while monitoring productivity, quality assurance, and
adherence to contract requirements.
Ensure compliance with all applicable Environment, Health and Safety regulations, work
practices and industry / site specific work rules.
Make risk assessments balancing customer requests with GE requirements.
Establish locomotive maintenance and repair;plan for labor, material, and
logistics.
Work with various software systems to manage material, labor plans, and other systemic
requirements
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university or college (or a high
school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of operations or military experience, or Associate’s
degree in technical discipline with at least 2 years professional work experience).
At least 3 additional years of operations or engineering experience.
Knowledge of Portuguese language at a fluent level (both written and spoken).
Must have legal authorization to work in Mozambique.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
